One day, I hope to meet Ari Seth Cohen in the streets of Manhattan, maybe even the West Village where I spend much of my time. I hope that if our paths cross that I am wearing something classy, sassy, and fun. While I am not a fashionista, I have a few close friends in their late sixties who are. They look great and always dress with impeccable taste. They wear and accessorize choosing from their favorite designers Donna Karan, Lilly Pulitzer, and Elie Tahari. They truly express themselves creatively through fashion. Hanging with them, ups my game. Like them, I do appreciate luxury and quality in clothing.
Back to Ari Seth Cohen. Thanks to his photography and writing skills, he’s highlighted people that I would say are at the later range of “Expressive Age” (50 to 75) or older in the fourth quarter of life (76 to 100). Through his striking project Advanced Style, he is busy “capturing the sartorial savvy of the senior set.” His books and video are inspiring and reconfirm for me that self-expression is a lifetime pursuit. Bravo, Ari.
If he reads this and wants to meet me, WHAT will I wear? Maybe I’ll walk down to Soho and check out RealReal.
